kathryn + dan.

kathryn and dan were married in october of 2008. we created a four card package that was held together with a shimmery, sheer wrap and closed with a monogrammed seal. they wanted a vibrant color palette full of autumn colors. they are also HUGE fans of all of the Rocky movies and wanted to find a way to incorporate a few sentimental quotes from their favorite scenes on each card. the most meaningful is on the wrap, which is what everyone saw when they pulled the package out of the envelope. the rest we placed on the back of each card.

lauren + brian frame.

this was a wedding gift dee created for our fabulous friends, lauren and brian, back in 2006. lauren is also a graphic designer and had designed her own wedding invitations. so dee took some of her elements and created the design for the frame with a line from their beautiful wedding song, where it begins, by martin sexton. the design was then screen printed on the front and back.

Crystal and George

This couple wanted to incorporate a photo of their wedding venue into their invitation; so the invitation text was printed on vellum and overlays the photo. The crisp black, red and white color scheme sets the tone for this formal affair. The black linen pocketfold is from Envelopments.

Silk Boxed Invitations > Pure Opulence

There is nothing like an invitation.  And with texting, emailing and blogging getting an invitation in the mail - yes, the mail ... you know that silver box thing-y on the corner ... the one where only bills and junk mail reside - is a pure simple luxury these days.  An invitation is the first glimpse to your event and really sets the expectation for the type of event awaiting your guests.

These silk boxes are pure elegance and I can guarantee your guests haven't seen anything like this before.  Even if you decide not to get one for every one of the 100+ guests on your guest list - they are an incredible gift to give important relatives (like yourself, mom's & dad's and your grandparents), maybe a few select close friends and your wedding party.

The boxes are made in your choice of 100% Dupioni silk or a poly blend silk (pictured above).  I actually prefer the feel of the poly blend.  It's super smooth and really soft to the touch.  There are an infinite number of silk fabrics & ribbon colors to choose from - and the bejeweled embellishments are simply to die for.   The bejeweled embellishments come in a wide range of themes, colors and styles - brooches, buttons, buckles, closures - and themes from very simple shapes to the beach inspired to vintage victorian.  Oooo, and the boxes come in a bunch of sizes and styles - gate folds (pic 5), box style (pic 1-4), folios (think folded card), mini favor boxes.  Sizes range from 5x7, 7x7, 6x9.

The designs pictured above, including: Custom Design, Poly Blend Style Box, Multi-Layer Invitation, Reply with Return Addressed Envelope, Bejeweled Embellishment (simple),  Satin Ribbon Embellishment, Mailing Box, Guest Address & Return Address Outside Label start around $65 per complete invitation (minimum order of 25 applies).
