here} and Part 2 will feature the reception paper and a cake topper that was sooooo much fun to create.
The invitation was pink, pink, pink and touches of antique and champagne gold. Little custom heart monogram to coordinate with the brand of the family ranch. LOVE that. The map had to be my favorite part with a little layout of the entire wedding location - complete with little pink barn animals here and there.
We used mainly metallic finish papers, because Sarah was all about the sparkle! Soooo much fun ... can't wait to share reception details.

It truly is a labor of love the work I do with paper. The moments before falling asleep spent mulling over just the right colors, papers and embellishments, the hours designing choosing just the right illustrations & fonts and finally, the days spent assembling & embellishing are all worth it when they all collide perfectly.
I was super-excited when Rebecca {
Sweet Cakes by Rebecca } asked me to be a part of her tablescape for Wish Bridal's Let Them Eat Cake! event in Sacramento, CA this past Sunday. The event was Marie Antoinette inspired and Rebecca's table took on a soft sparkly color palette of golds, blue, silver, ivory and white {hoping to snag some table pics soon!}.
Loving how the papery turned out! From the top: cake sampling tented table cards, die-cut candy buffet tags, dessert sampling mini-banners, cake name rolled parchments and a faux-framed vendor rolled parchment. Custom design, hand glittered text, Swarovski crystals, yummy metallic papers made for some super-sweet papery.

Ahhh, my affinity for table cards. I'm not quite sure how it all started ... but, my thought is ... I spend hours, days, months laboring over hundreds {upon hundreds} of invitation suites at a time and then when it comes time to work on project of 20 or so table cards - I can really go to town on them!

One of my favorite holiday designs last year was for the Hewitt Family. Their invitation suite was a three holiday greeting - holiday card, new address announcement and housewarming party invite all wrapped up into one.
Instead of traditional greens, reds and the like, we opted to used colors from their new ranch home - warm browns, antique golds, spicy curry yellow and fiery copper. To bring in the holiday feel - I hand glittered - uh - nearly a thousand little snowflakes. My house and studio were gilded to say the least. :)
The invitation suite was a 7x7 pocket fold, double matte family photo on the front panel, single matte holiday housewarming panel, gilded snowflakes, single matte photo of the girls, six layer invitation panel (yeoweee!), direction panel, accommodation panel, reply card, reply envelope and custom outside envelope. It was a flurry of work here the week before Christmas last year getting these babies ready for delivery.
The Hewitt's have become dear friends of mine and I'm looking forward to more special greetings & invites!!

I just did a little photo shoot here at the house last week of some invitations from last year and early this year. Yes, that's right - invites from from last year. I think I even have a few from late 2006 I never took photos of! I barely have time to sleep let alone take photos of my invites. I have so many more to go ... but loved how these turned out from last week and had to share.
Meet Laine & Joe Alves' wedding invitation. Designed using their color theme of turquoise, antique gold and bronze - with rich texture and color it is really striking in person. And as a couple they are super sweet and a pleasure to work with.
