jessica and james are getting married this november at
st. john the baptist church, followed by a reception at
the philadelphia four seasons hotel. she requested a formal invitation package that exuded old hollywood elegance. we achieved this with an oversized two color 6" x 9" letterpress invite that was adhered to a pocket fold. this pocket fold pattern of silvery plumes on charcoal metallic paper was the perfect solution to keep the reception, reply, and accommodation card organized. the front of the reply postcard was a nice place to incorporate a touch of philadelphia. we used a vintage photograph of
logan circle, because this iconic fountain is located across the street from the venue. this image was also used on the postage for the outer envelope. we also created a classic monogram for the couple that was pressed on the invite and carried over to the reply card postage and small tag that closed the pocket fold. two delicate swarkvoski crystals added just the right amount of glamour to the crest.
the package was stuffed inside a lined metallic charcoal envelope which was addressed in white calligraphy by the fabulous
lindsey bee.

jillian and joseph were married at
appleford this past august. jillian had a vision of layered lace and vintage floral patterns for their wedding invitation suite. they loved the idea of an overall hand-crafted touch which she labeled 'anthro-chic.' we used a combination of grays to compliment the natural green and yellow colors of late summer. the invitation was letterpressed onto white cranes lettra paper with two shades of soft gray ink. the lace pattern background created the most beautiful impression in the cotton paper. the rsvp postcard and directional card were printed in full color on uncoated white paper. the folded directional card included a fun custom map to the venue. these cards were stacked and wrapped with olive green jute twine for that extra home-made touch. they were mailed out in a light gray envelope with a hand-stamped return address.
jillian is an artist and calligrapher and hand-lettered her guests' addresses herself. we are in love with the final product!

our talented photographer friend,
suzanne delaney came to us with a little idea. she wanted a petite business card that could hold a petite photo. appropriately enough, our other good friend allie, of
petite rue, designed her logo. we took that beautiful logo and had it letterpressed onto 1 piece of cranes lettra paper. we had another piece of the same paper die cut with 4 slits to house a miniature 2" x 2" photo that sue is able to change freely. these 2 pieces are then adhered back to back creating a perfectly thick business card. sue is having so much fun handing out her cards and seeing people react to the unexpected surprise on the back!
this post was delayed a day due to a small studio opening we had for family yesterday!

gina + daniel's late summer wedding will be held this august in new jersey. gina had a vision of a victorian style invitation suite that would compliment their decor of lace, cage netting and draped pearls. their suite included a letterpress invitation, reception card, and rsvp postcard with shades of lavender. each invitation was stacked and wrapped with a wide band of vintage lace, crushed velvet gray ribbon and finished with a small square tag with their wedding date and an ivory pearl on the front with pair of silhouettes on the back. guest names were hand addressed in lavender ink by the fabulous
helene gaffin.
