We are soooo hitting the Happiest Place on Earth in T-Minus 48 hours!! Yipppppeee! A little mid-season siesta is definitely in order for this one happily busy designer.
The studio will be closed from Saturday, June 18th through Sunday, June 26th. I will of course keep a weather-eye out for emails and be checking my voicemail ... but will not be returning messages {both email and phone} unless there is some sort of cataclysmic paper event that needs my immediate attention. All new inquiries, sadly, will have to wait for my return.

In organize mode ... my "organizing desk" which is now located centrally in the family room. Feeling just a tad too claustrophobic in the studio with me, the little one and all the animals (2 cats: Shadow & Wyle and 1 dog: Chase).
My view from behind the table! It's a little daunting - but - will be well worth the reward! I'm assembling my portfolio samples (which I rarely have time to do because I'm pushing orders out the door - always figuring my stuff can wait), organizing what I need to photograph and cataloging everything for my new portfolio books. Yeeee hoo! All while watching "Harry Potter Weekend" on ABC Family with the little one. Who by the way would not allow me to photograph him for this post. Bummer.

These gals are assembling wedding invitations right here in our in-store studio. If you order un-assembled invitations through us; you can use our studio space for free. We have lots of table space and you are welcome to bring snacks & beverages to make a day of it!

Oh, man ... it has been a while since my last post! Busy, busy. Lots going on and some great news to share. This week, together with my friends (Blooms and PLUSH), I'm moving into a quaint studio space in Lincoln. The three of us are beyond excited to be out of our home, local coffee house or restaurant to meet clients. I'll post photos from the move-in this week. We've also created a sort of gateway to our shared space online at throwasoiree.com.
A little about my office mates ... Blooms is Blooms by Martha Andrews an amazing floral designer specializing in premier weddings & events. Her work has been featured in numerous local wedding magazines and some incredible national magazines. I had the pleasure of working with Martha on the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Open House and Photo Shoot back in July. Martha is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to couture floral design. Her design work is captivating and beautiful without an ounce of pretentiousness.
PLUSH is owned by the ever fabulous and detail driven Michaela Rodgers. Michaela is your girl if you're out of your element planning a big bash. From planning an event from beginning to end or handling the day of details she's got it covered. Not to mention a design eye that is fashion forward ... putting just the right touches on the big details and the teeniest of the tiny ones.
I can't wait to join my office mates and see what crazy new adventures the next few months will bring!
