work wednesday: gina sole.

gina sole is a very talented and well-respected wedding planner in the philadelphia, new jersey and new york city area. she requested an updated business card to reflect her style and the high-end services she offers to her couples. we just couldn't wait for an excuse to use gold foil! luxurious gold foil stamping is used on the front of the extra thick cranes lettra paper. gina has a morrocan tile pillow that she loves and thought we could use it for inspiration. we added an element of surprise by using a pop of coral and a similar pattern on the back of the card. gina was overjoyed with the final product and we can't wait to work with foil again!

last week: sneak peek.

we were delighted to be the featured stationer at appleford's open house held on thursday, september 22nd. stephen starr events hosted the night with a delicious tasting as usual. the setting was gorgeous... styled creative decorated the tented veranda with shabby chic ribbons and chandeliers and sullivan owen dressed up the room with vintage style roses arranged in mini mint julip cups. sarah dicicco, cinemacake filmmakers, and little baby's ice cream were just a few of the other talents of the night.

love me do studio visit.

we had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with carina, amanda, and nadine of love me do photography in their new northern liberties studio this afternoon. we shared work and stories over some tea and cookies. their space was decorated with their beautiful wedding photos which sat on ledges in a variety of antique frames among fun vintage treasures. here are a couple snapshots of their fun + inspiring space!

their work is stunning -- we would describe their style as dream-like fine art mixed with candid photo journalism.

carina graciously shot one of our latest creations while we were there... featured in the upcoming post...!

blogging workshop with joy.

our minds were saturated with inspiration and social media tidbits at the ohjoy! rx workshop we attended monday night at moore college of art. we were so lucky to get a spot -- the workshop hosted by aiga philly sold out that same day!

the 3 hour workshop was fantastic. we sat among the most stylish group of 40 talented ladies. joy was everything we'd thought she be -- cute, interesting and pregnant! she spoke so eloquently and her presentation was invaluable.

we left that night with many new ideas as we design our website and brand new blog, joy's adorable notebooks, 40 business cards and many new friends in philly and the blogging world. we look forward to collaborating with many of these ladies on future projects.

look out for more regular and themed posts!

arts ballroom grand opening.

luncheon invitation.

evening invitation.

front of day + evening invitations.

some photos of the evening's event...

we were honored to be the invitation sponsor for the grand opening of the arts ballroom on wednesday. what a stunning venue! we are both wishing we could get married all over again. the space is located in the heart of center city on locust, between broad and 13th inside the arts condominium. it's grand and historical, yet very crisp and contemporary.

our invitation + food signage for the day + evening events captured steven starr events theme of art deco meets jane austen. this theme danced throughout the grand hall and ballroom beautifully with decor, food and music. our favorite part of the night was the dessert room! a large mirrored table filled the center of the room and was dripping with ornate candelabras and silver platters packed with tiny little tarts, then topped with towering bushels of baby's breath and lilac. gorgeous!

wonderful to collaborate with...

soiree in the city.

we had a fabulous time at this spring's soiree in the city! our display was a success -- we felt that our cool little vintage shelf was a great way for attendees to get up close to the invites as if they were browsing in a little card shop. we met lots of great brides planning their autumn and winter weddings. not only were they all sweet ladies, but were all dressed sooo stylish! the mood was set by a couple different bands by elan artists -- our favorite was this one pictured above -- bon musique. the crab bisque and lemonade cocktails provided by drexelbrook were amazing! if you didn't make it to this one, try to go to the next. there are some of the best planners, photographers, bakers and jewelry makers in the biz all in one place!

matters of the heart.

we had a wonderful time at alison conklin's gallery opening at trust last week! the beautiful space was a perfect backdrop for alison's photos of love + friendship. the grand white space looked so pretty dotted with people wearing red in honor of heart disease. there was a raffle with some great prizes benefiting the american heart association -- i (cheyenne) was hoping for the cole hamels' signed baseball -- no luck! but danielle came home with a brown betty gift certificate -- lucky girl! congrats alison + geoff!!
