jessica and james are getting married this november at
st. john the baptist church, followed by a reception at
the philadelphia four seasons hotel. she requested a formal invitation package that exuded old hollywood elegance. we achieved this with an oversized two color 6" x 9" letterpress invite that was adhered to a pocket fold. this pocket fold pattern of silvery plumes on charcoal metallic paper was the perfect solution to keep the reception, reply, and accommodation card organized. the front of the reply postcard was a nice place to incorporate a touch of philadelphia. we used a vintage photograph of
logan circle, because this iconic fountain is located across the street from the venue. this image was also used on the postage for the outer envelope. we also created a classic monogram for the couple that was pressed on the invite and carried over to the reply card postage and small tag that closed the pocket fold. two delicate swarkvoski crystals added just the right amount of glamour to the crest.
the package was stuffed inside a lined metallic charcoal envelope which was addressed in white calligraphy by the fabulous
lindsey bee.

debbie + michael will be wed in just a few short weeks with a celebration at the fabulous
tendenza, a magnificent venue in northern liberties by cescaphe event group. we learned about debbie's love for graphic patterns and fonts when we designed her
save the date and knew she wanted to carry her super bold style over to the invitation suite. we layered pattern upon pattern for their stacked package! the suite included a monogram, address label, custom envelope liner, invitation, rsvp postcard and informational card for the guests. everything was held together neatly with two ribbons that complimented her black, white, purple and green palette. they also created a custom mailing stamp on their own with a small photo of their high school, where they met!
debbie + michael took on all of the assembly and added a little
happily ever after to the package....
we wish them a fabulous wedding day!

jillian and joseph were married at
appleford this past august. jillian had a vision of layered lace and vintage floral patterns for their wedding invitation suite. they loved the idea of an overall hand-crafted touch which she labeled 'anthro-chic.' we used a combination of grays to compliment the natural green and yellow colors of late summer. the invitation was letterpressed onto white cranes lettra paper with two shades of soft gray ink. the lace pattern background created the most beautiful impression in the cotton paper. the rsvp postcard and directional card were printed in full color on uncoated white paper. the folded directional card included a fun custom map to the venue. these cards were stacked and wrapped with olive green jute twine for that extra home-made touch. they were mailed out in a light gray envelope with a hand-stamped return address.
jillian is an artist and calligrapher and hand-lettered her guests' addresses herself. we are in love with the final product!

a formal wedding invitation for elizabeth and christopher who were married this summer at the historic
hotel du pont in delaware. we designed their
save the date last year and carried over the regal shades of gold and eggplant as well as the subtle diamond pattern onto their invitation package and day of materials.
the invitation suite was printed on metallic ivory paper. guest names, even funny nicknames, were handwritten onto the gold metallic belly bands by melanie from
gracefully addressed for that extra special personal touch. the invite was adhered to a gold metallic backer to achieve a framed look and make it feel like the most important piece of the package. the smaller reception and response card were tucked neatly into the band to create an elegant layered effect. the etched entreƩ animals and flourished frame designs both added some unexpected whimsy to an overall elegant set. metallic gold ink was used for the return address and melanie also addressed the outer eggplant envelopes in gold.
we have lots of coordinating day of materials from this wedding to share with you in the coming weeks!
