work wednesday: christina + adam.
christina + adam will be married this spring at st. luke's greek orthodox church followed by an outdoor, black tie reception at the water works restaurant in philadelphia. this elaborate invitation suite included a letterpress invitation, reception card and mailing envelope along with a full color rsvp postcard, directional card, envelope liner and tag. they loved the idea of a stacked package, which revealed layers of flourishes and stripes. with the combination of the various patterns and muted color palette we were able to achieve a beautiful balance of masculine and feminine design.
the formal invitation was personalized with a vintage philadelphia postcard style rsvp and playful tag. the package was neatly wrapped with a soft lace band and finished with a single raffia bow and tag (their wedding date of 5.5.12 was printed on the front which mirrored their first date of 5.5.09 on the reverse). the mailing addresses were hand painted in charcoal ink by the fabulous helene gaffin.
we loved working with the mix of these design elements and are excited to work on their day of materials!
